Job description
Are you active in a church or church-related organisation, and curious about how your experience could be applied in a new way?
At ChurchDesk – now also including Hagru – we are expanding in the Netherlands and are looking for a Church Consultant to join our team in Groningen.
We are looking for someone who understands church life and is passionate about helping it develop. Together, we support churches with digital tools that strengthen communication, organisation, and community life.
You may not see yourself as a traditional salesperson, but you are motivated by meaningful, consultative conversations with churches and by guiding them in adopting tools that support their work.
Does this sound like you?
You currently work or volunteer in a church or church-related organisation. Regardless of your background, you have a strong understanding of how church life is organised in the Netherlands and how churches remain relevant and connected to their local communities.
You are not looking for a traditional sales role, but you are motivated by guiding conversations about digital solutions for churches and taking ownership of the sales process from first contact to long-term partnership.
Your Role: Consulting and Outreach
As a Church Consultant, your main responsibility is to open doors to churches and local congregations that are not yet using Hagru or ChurchDesk products.
Reach out and lead conversations: You enjoy engaging with new people and are genuinely curious to understand their daily workflows, challenges, and long-term vision for their church.
Drive the process forward: You take ownership of expanding awareness and adoption of the products. You follow the full journey from first contact through to agreement and onboarding.
Create value through communication: You present ChurchDesk to church councils, staff, and volunteers, using your understanding of their daily reality to make digital tools relevant and meaningful.
Act as a trusted sparring partner: You use your understanding of church structures and decision-making processes to build long-term, trust-based relationships across the church landscape in the Netherlands.
Job requirements
What We are looking for
A foundation in church life: You have solid experience in a church or church-related organisation and understand the collaboration between clergy, councils, and volunteers.
A willingness to grow and learn: You are excited to take on a new challenge where you can make a real impact for churches while developing your own skills and career.
Outgoing and purpose-driven: You are open to change and motivated by reaching out to new people and presenting a digital platform you believe in.
Independence and drive: You work in a structured way and naturally take ownership of your tasks and results.
Strong communication skills: You communicate clearly and effectively. You are fluent in Dutch and have a good command of English.
What We Offer
A role in a growing company with a strong focus on personal and professional development — including access to a dedicated coach to support your ongoing growth.
A transparent and supportive feedback culture — we grow together, learn from one another, and communicate openly.
Unforgettable team experiences — from company events to sailing trips in Croatia, ski trips, and visits to our office in Berlin.
30 days of vacation – because rest matters.
Fancy a change of scenery? Come visit us in Copenhagen, Berlin or Oslo! We’ll cover all your travel and expenses so you can work alongside the team and soak up the local vibe.
