Job description

We're hiring a Head of Growth Marketing to build the next chapter of growth at ChurchDesk. This is a specialist role: you have deep, hands-on expertise in growth marketing — acquisition, activation, retention, and the experimentation discipline that connects them — and you know how to run that engine inside a trust-driven, considered-purchase market. You'll own marketing end-to-end — growth, brand, content, product marketing, community, and events — working closely with our CRO and partnering with Product to turn what we do into a story churches trust, and a pipeline that proves it.

This is a builder's seat. You inherit a small, capable cross-border team of three and a strong foundation, with the mandate to shape the growth strategy, the team, and the tooling that takes us and our customers to the next level.

This role can be based in Berlin or Copenhagen.

What you’ll own

  • Growth strategy — you set the direction: which markets, which motions, which channels. Together with Revenue, you own marketing's contribution to the pipeline (CAC, LTV, conversion).

  • Team — you lead, coach, and grow the team you inherit, and manage the budget and tools behind them.

  • Experimentation — you build a test-and-learn roadmap, always with a clear hypothesis behind every experiment.

  • Brand & storytelling — you make sure a church sees ChurchDesk as a partner, not a vendor.

  • Product marketing — launches, messaging, sales enablement, built hand in hand with Product.

  • Community & events — webinars, newsletters, and on-site events, led through your two specialists. Warm, human work that also drives growth and retention.

Job requirements

  • A growth specialist at heart — curious, hands-on, with a genuine track record of designing and learning from growth experiments that moved acquisition, activation, or retention.

  • A proven leader — +5 years in marketing, including +3 years leading a team in B2B SaaS, ideally across countries.

  • Channel range — hands-on with SEO/content-led growth, paid acquisition, lifecycle/email, and partnerships, and a good instinct for what to prioritise when.

  • CRM fluency — hands-on experience with HubSpot or a similar CRM.

  • Product marketing chops — you've shipped positioning, messaging, and launches that landed, and partner naturally with Product.

  • Owns a number and a narrative — you've built marketing as a growth function alongside Sales/Revenue, and write and edit well enough to set the tone for your team.

  • A clear communicator — confident in English; Danish, German, Norwegian or Dutch is a plus.

  • Practical AI enthusiasm — you've put Claude or a similar tool to work, whether that's a small automation, a workflow hack, or something bigger.

Nice to have

  • Worked at a company in the roughly €5M–€20M ARR range and helped it scale.

  • European multi-market go-to-market experience, especially DACH and the Nordics.

  • Familiarity with a modern growth/martech stack (product analytics, experimentation tooling, marketing automation).

Your way of working

  • You lead with respect for what makes our customers' work meaningful. Churches are an institution to support, not a vertical to extract from.

  • You hold two truths at once: brand and trust take time, and we still have to hit a growth number this quarter.

What We Offer

  • You'll work on something that matters, with people who care, in a category where great marketing is still a rare advantage. The buyers are thoughtful, the mission is real, and there's room to build something distinctive.

  • An open, warm work environment – you’re not just a number, but a valued part of the team.

  • Beautiful, modern office space in Copenhagen or Berlin – central, vibrant, and well connected.

  • Fancy a change of scenery? Come visit us in any of our four offices across Europe! We’ll cover all your travel and expenses so you can work alongside the team and soak up the local vibe.

  • 30 days of vacation – because rest matters.

  • A transparent and supportive feedback culture – grow together, learn from each other, and communicate openly.

  • Unforgettable team experiences – from company events to trips like sailing in Croatia, or fun and relaxing ski trips.

#dogoodbusiness: Doing good business is a marathon, not a sprint. It requires endurance, quality, and integrity — every single day.

#jointheride: The journey matters just as much as the destination. Be part of it, celebrate successes — and have fun! We value being together, especially in the office.
