Customer Success Manager

  • On-site
    • Groningen, Netherlands

Job description

Are you an experienced Customer Success professional who loves turning customers into long-term partners, and are you looking for work with real purpose?

At ChurchDesk – now also including Hagru – we are growing in the Netherlands and are looking for a Customer Success Manager to join our team in Groningen.

You'll own a portfolio of Dutch churches and congregations that already use Hagru or ChurchDesk. You'll onboard them, make sure the platform truly supports their daily work, and grow those accounts by showing them where else ChurchDesk can add value.

Does this sound like you?

You know what great customer success looks like: structured onboarding, proactive account management, healthy retention and well-timed expansion conversations. You're equally comfortable walking a volunteer through their first login and discussing an upgrade with a church council. You don't need a church background. What matters is that you're curious about our customers' world and genuinely motivated by helping them succeed.

Your Role: Onboarding, Advisory and Growth

  • Onboard new customers: You guide churches through setup and training to their first successes, so they feel confident from day one.

  • Own your portfolio: You're the main point of contact for your customers, understand their workflows and goals, and help them get the most out of the platform.

  • Drive adoption and retention: You monitor usage and customer health, spot risks early and act proactively.

  • Grow your accounts: You identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities and lead those conversations confidently, with a focus on real customer value.

  • Be the voice of the customer: You share insights with our product and sales teams to help shape ChurchDesk for the Dutch market.

Job requirements

  • Proven Customer Success experience: Several years in customer success, account management or a similar role, ideally in B2B SaaS.

  • Commercial drive: A track record of retaining customers and growing accounts through upselling or cross-selling.

  • Onboarding and training skills: You can explain software clearly to people with very different levels of digital experience.

  • Structured and independent: You manage your portfolio with clear priorities, follow-ups and measurable results.

  • Curiosity for our customers' world: No church background needed, but you're genuinely interested in how churches work and enjoy building trust with them. Experience in the non-profit or church sector is a plus.

  • Strong communication skills: You are fluent in Dutch and have a good command of English.

What We Offer

  • A role in a growing company with a strong focus on personal and professional development — including access to a dedicated coach to support your ongoing growth.

  • A transparent and supportive feedback culture — we grow together, learn from one another, and communicate openly.

  • Unforgettable team experiences — from company events to sailing trips in Croatia, ski trips, and visits to our office in Berlin.

  • 30 days of vacation – because rest matters.

  • Fancy a change of scenery? Come visit us in Copenhagen, Berlin or Oslo! We’ll cover all your travel and expenses so you can work alongside the team and soak up the local vibe.

About ChurchDesk

At ChurchDesk, we believe that the church plays an important role in society. Our platform is used by thousands of congregations to organise their work, improve communication with members, reach more people, and unlock new ways of fundraising.
Our customers are part of one of the largest and oldest institutions in the world: the Church. It is undergoing significant change to prepare for the future — and we are here to support that transformation. For churches across Europe, it is crucial to work more efficiently and stay connected to their members and communities.

ChurchDesk has been around for more than 15 years — evolving from a startup into an international company serving customers across Europe. And we’re just getting started!

We actively live our values in our daily work:

#challenge: We challenge ourselves — and our customers — to continuously improve. We work like a professional sports team: with ambition, discipline, and strong team spirit.

#dogoodbusiness: Doing good business is a marathon, not a sprint. It requires endurance, quality, and integrity — every single day.

#jointheride: The journey matters just as much as the destination. Be part of it, celebrate successes — and have fun! We value being together, especially in the office.
